Heatmap
Nifty 50 — breadth at a glance
Every tile is one Nifty 50 stock. Green = gain vs previous close, red = loss; the deeper the colour, the bigger the move. Hover any tile for price and move details.
Constituent list reflects the Nifty 50 composition tracked here for educational use. Single-stock moves in the last session are not an edge indicator in isolation — always read the heatmap together with index level, VIX and open interest before drawing conclusions.
How this tools page works
Behind the curtain
All quotes stream from the Yahoo Finance quote API through a small serverless proxy on the same origin, so there is no third-party script running on your machine. The page fetches one batch of symbols every 60 seconds, and your browser re-colours the watch cards and heatmap tiles locally.
The Market Watch gives fast context for option traders: INDIAVIX tells you implied-volatility conditions, USD/INR matters for FII flows, and Gold plus Crude map global sentiment that often shows up in Nifty gapping moves. The Nifty 50 Heatmap gives market breadth in one frame — when a majority of tiles turn deep green while the index barely moves, that divergence itself is a signal worth investigating.
What this is not: a recommendation engine. Nothing on this page tells you to buy or sell anything. It is free research tooling in the same spirit as every article on this site — build your own checks, verify everything, and never risk money you cannot afford to lose.
